    Hi Fish Families.

Your fish teachers would like to thank all of you for the wonderful Teacher Appreciation Lunch. It was delicious and relaxing. We certainly felt appreciated! Thank you for making it possible.

What a busy week we have had! The weather cooperated and we had a great wellness walk and we have been busy learning all about what is going on with our chick embryos. I hope you have heard all about it, especially when we candled the eggs on Wednesday.

We are beginning an Eric Carle unit study. If you have any of his books at home, please send them in for your child to have in his/her book barn for the next few weeks.

We continue to work on addition and subtraction in math as well as 3D shapes and counting on from a number other than 1.

Some Books We Have Read: The Little Chick, The Chick Book, Mud!, An Extraordinary Egg, The Chick that Wouldn't Hatch, I Went Walking, The Honeybee and the Robber, Dora's Eggs, Does a Kangaroo Have a Mother, Too?

    5/5/17

    Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Administration has asked the teaching staff to remind families that you need to have your license or photo ID with you in order to enter the school.

We've only had 1 child express an interest in singing at the EHS graduation this June. Last call for interested families to let me know if they'd like to participate. Please send an email ASAP.

The Fish class will be reciting the Pledge of Allegiance over the intercom next week. They are so excited! Please try to have them to school on time so they can be a part of this exciting opportunity.

The Grand Luncheon is scheduled for Monday, June 5th. I would like to invite our special 'grandparent' visitors to join us in our classroom 15 minutes before our scheduled lunch. (I don't have that time yet, but I'll let you know as soon as I do.)

The last day of kindergarten is Wednesday, June 14th. We will begin our class celebration at 9:30 in our classroom. Families are invited to join us at that time. Dismissal will be by 11:00 that day. If this early dismissal time poses a problem for your family, please let me know ASAP so I can plan accordingly.
